Not much to say. Young, married, professional, living in New York after stints in Portland, Ore., Chicago, Ill., and New Delhi, India. I have a cat and I drink about seven pots of tea a day. I’m addicted to reading and reality TV, and I habitually chronicle the minutia that most people choose to conceal.

Why “bed tea,” you might ask? Well, according to the completely unofficial Reverso Dictionary, this noun is shorthand for “(in some Asian countries) tea served to a guest in bed in the morning.” I started taking bed tea when I first moved in with the man who is now my husband, and ever since, it’s come to represent the best part of my day: a little kick of caffeine, and the perfect accompaniment to my morning paper, an early perusal of blogs, or just letting my mind wander in a million different directions.
